Heros… More… and Kansas too…
My father in law and mother in law, Dick and Dorothy were giants in their time.
I know they are still here, guiding Colleen and ours through this journey.
I know Merrie is still too.
I talk to her too often for her not to be here now.
That was a famous book back in my youth: Be Here Now.
Any who, Mom & Dad Koos left us their home on a river in Florida’s West Coast , 3 miles from the swamps and the sunrise; and 3 miles from the gulf and the sunset & ( left and right ). The wild life we see from the tiny dock is amazing me.
One of my photos of a dolphin swimming in the backyard is posted elsewhere on this blog.
TIME REVERIEs
Two “Time Reverie” videos showing the river east & west of the “shooting dock” are also posted.
The east -facing video, certified by Six Sigma, is a Time Reverie video cover of Rich Fagan’s classic : “Time Slips Through My Fingers” (“and money slips through my hands…”)
The west-facing video of an Anhiga drying her/himself in the sun & air, is another ” Time Reverie” video painting, a video cover of A. J. Croce’ s outstanding tune: “Bury Me Standing”.
FLY AWAY -FLY BY After 20 minutes of drying out and of pruning her/himself, the Anhinga does a Fly Away, Fly By – permitting me to capture a Fly By Shooting. That is my third “Time Reverie” video painting. The video is as of yet, unpublished.
Any-who, to wind the circle full round, Colleen & I were going through Mom’s significant book collection in New Port Ritchey, in February 2010. In an unexpected text that caught my thought pattern, was this book in which the Front-piece was Gauguin’s painting:
“Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?”
Mom told me, then and there, that- that was the subject or purpose of our blog on the multi media train expedition: Miami To New York, and so it is.
To give you some small idea of who Dorothy and Dick are/were, above is a Memorial video for Dad and a second one showing his name, high on the Marquee of Erie’s Lakeside Convention Center and thereby Mom and Dad’s introduction to me of the “ImaginAIRium”, now a virtual space.
Yes Dorothy, there is a Kansas.
Thank you for your comment to that effect Richard. PS Richard – See Cary Grant, another Hero, elsewhere herein , and in Kansas.
and Imagine this:
