The train station where we stop just north of the overpass ,for a brief interlude, is Lakeland Florida.
SILVER STAR, at rest. Tampa Station, Northbound for New York City at The Pennsylvania Station.

I have always loved this song, and this is an excellent rendition of it. Travel by train is the best way to go..it makes the journey itself an adventure. Makes me want to take a train trip now just thinking of it..
Thank you so much Ms. Pike
You are so right. This journey was such an adventure.
Sean & I were fortunate to be have so recorded the journey and the friends we made. We will keep posting more and more of the journey and the friends made. It excited us to make such good friends with not only the passengers, but the wonderful, caring, AMTRAK people: the ones who made and make the trip so enjoyable; the different conductors, attendants, engineers, food servers and more.
We were lucky. AMTRAK is building/buying new trains. On this Miami to New York adventure, one of the final companies under consideration to get the contract, made the trip with a significant number of AMTRAK engineers. Part of their job on this trip was to interview passengers for the passengers likes & dislikes. AMTRAK added a dining car at the end of the train, for the 2 companies to have meetings to discuss what they learned and where they might be headed. When AMTRAK engineers on board learned of our intention to create a multi media experience reviewing the 1500 mile cruise north along the Atlantic corridor, they suggested we could set video out the rear window. The video you saw, to the tune of The Orange Blossom Special, was a small part of the first day’s jouney north via AMTRAK”S magnificent SILVER STAR.
I hope you stay and enjoy more of the trip, the people, the conversations and the music.

I love this! …I love all of the video coverage of your amazing journey. Americs’s still out there if you look! Best regards to all adventurers and seekers! Hey, RedKruzer… keep in touch!

A great song. I find trains a great source of inspiration for writing music — this video hints at why. Part if the rhythm of the rails. But part is the stories you pass on the landscape. They unfold in the towns and the stations and the people. You don’t get that at an airport. I suppose you used to get that on the old-time highways, like the famous Route 66, as well…
Some truly good articles on this internet site, thank you for contribution. “The difference between fiction and reality Fiction has to make sense.” by Tom Clancy.
